                                                   Quartz Family Gemstones

     The quartz family includes a large variety of minerals, each with its distinct properties.  Many of these minerals are turned into beautiful gemstones while others have more common uses.  Each link on the left contains information about a specific mineral belonging to the quartz family.  The individual websites show a brief description of how each quartz is formed, mined, and its uses.  Please take the time to browse each link and learn about the great beauty and variety that quartz has to offer.
