Coal is a family of biological sedimentary rocks made from
organic debris.                                                                                                   
Depending upon conditions of heat, pressure, and age, coal
can range from slightly altered materials, such as peat, to
metamorphosed materials that are higher in carbon content,
namely anthracite.
