A monzonite is a coarse-grained igneous
rock with nearly
equal amounts of plagioclase and orthoclase feldspars.
Mineralogically, it falls between a syenite and a diorite.
If quartz
makes up more than 2% of the volume of the rock,
it is a quartz monzonite.
