carnotite-1
Carnotite is radioactive!
Carnotite is a common ore of uranium.  It usually occurs as a thin powdery, bright
yellow coating on a rock surface.  The best way to confirm its identity is with a
Geiger counter since it is a uranium compound.  Carnotite is a hydrous, potassium
uranyl vanadate.
