Aram Chaos is a large circular feature that contributed to the the flows
responsible for creating Areas Vallis.

The two lower branches of Ares Valles partially encircle  Aram Chaos.  It is
likely that Aram Chaos started out as a large impact structure and the two
branches of Ares Vallis are located outside of the crater rim deposits
.
