Muara Crater is one of the few locations in the Marwth
Vallis region where there is high resolution coverage of the
layers of white minerals.


   
Muara Crater is located on the Northwest rim of the large
crater Oyama.  Muara Crater is also just West of Mawrth Vallis.

Muara Crater is quite shallow, only 925 feet deep.


The crater floor is filled with a complex of dune ripples.
