The high resolution strip being analyzed is outlined in pink.  Its dimensions are
3.5 miles wide and 14 miles long, representing an area of 49 square miles.  The
strip is approximately 24 miles from Mawrth Vallis and in an area covered mainly
by light-colored mineral deposits.

North is at the top of the photo.

Here is a closer look of the high resolution strip.

This orientation of the strip is difficult to use.

Throughout this study the high-resolution strip will be oriented horizontally
with North at the right.
