Title: Puzzled Portrait

I can draw eyes,
eyes that would impersonate the world.

I can mold ears,
ears embedded with thoughts of the mental
screams of our misled children.

I can weave smiles,
smiles that would give even a blind person
a new day to look forward to.

I can sculpture hands,
hands like that of the wrath of God;
mighty, barricading, destructive, and sinisterly loving.

I can sketch feet…
feet that have tread the paths of Iceland, Greece, Egypt,
Jerusalem, and even the Sahara.

And, within all posterity, I can imagine,
imagine that if God created us all in his image and
likeness, then we too were left alone,
just pieces of an unconscious puzzle!
